Aquatic species Registry Exchange and Services The main objective of this project is to ensure and enhance the interoperability and public availability of the aquatic species databases WoRMS and FADA through the development of a set of web services. Such services can guarantee the automatic and timely exchange of data between WoRMS and FADA, but also expose the data for use in other initiatives and applications. On top of these web services, we aim to develop tools to perform data quality control of species related data, by improving and extending the ‘fuzzy matching algorithm for genus and species scientific names’ (Taxamatch) tool and building on other existing services. |
